Sunday, November, 27th. Moscow, Russia.
My name is Elena Aseeva, I’m 31. I’m a part-time housewife taking care of her kid and a part-time metal jewelry maker. My day is all about my family, my husband Andrey and son Matveich.
I hate the alarm clock and I have to get up right away or I will fall asleep again.
I’m sleepy that’s why I look mean.
I turn on the laptop and am going to have breakfast. This is a room which somehow combines a kitchen (it takes just one fifth of the space) and a computer room.
Water is boiling, as I brush my teeth.
This is my breakfast. I always have to share it either with my husband or with my son that’s why I make it bigger than I can eat.
Enjoying being alone. Cheking out e-mail and new collections in Internet stores… BUT!
My husband’s woken up and I have to say good bye to my breakfast.
My son looks upset because he also doesn’t like mornings.
I have to go to a store to buy some food.
Where’s my hat? I can’t reach it!
Driving to the store with a neighbour.
These are her daughters.
Lida’s holding Sofia. Otherwise, she’d run away.
Heading back home. This looks like a shot from an apocalyptic movie.
My son has found a present for himself.
So has my husband. Am I not a breadwinner?
Now it’s time for a walk.
My husband is a pyrotechnics man and at weekends he doesn’t receive the adrenalin he hets at shooting areas.
I like this building. They observe weather from here.
My son loves this train and usually cries, “Train! Train!” But not this time because he fell asleep.
This is me in the alley.
These ponds were made before the revolution but they were so polluted that they dried out. Several years ago, local administration allocated money for their restoration which I’m very happy about and thankful for.
‘Attention! No entrance! Territory is guarded by dogs!’
I’ve personally never seen any dogs there… But who knows.
There are a lot of dormitories and old buildings around…
This is my reflection in a puddle.
I’m getting cold so let’s go home!
I love funny hats since childhood, yes, and I used to make them by myself!
This one used to belong to American Army!
We’re home. While Matveich’s sleeping, I have some time to prepare Christmas postcards and other presents for my friends. The angel for Monica (she lives in Berlin) is ready, I just have to pack it up.
Don’t forget to sign it…
I do love sending and receiving letters and mails, That’s my passion!
We left Matveich in the stroller to not wake him up. And now he’s up.
This is my mom. She’s come to feed my son with cottage cheese pancakes because he’s not plump enough for her.
Son’s watching TV.
And I have to sew chevrons on my husband’s jacket. By the way, he wears special clothes purchased at special stores and it’s rather expensive. But that’s what pyrotechnics men do.
Watching cartoons all together.
While I have some time again, I decide to work as a mini locksmith, as I call it. Recently I finished a jewelry school and making all kinds of metal things is my hobby.
Drilling a hole.
Here it is! Another angel!
Packing it up…
My husband marinated some salmon for me. So good!
And my son’s having meat dumplings for dinner.
Reading a fairy tail to my son before going to bed…
Do you see that crocodile near Matveich? This is a father crocodile. He also has a mother and a son chrocodiles.
My husband and I are watching funny series on the Internet. We’re not supposed to watch highbrow movies all the time, are we?
Some chatting on the Internet with friends… I love that!
Husband playing a game (tanks).
And just several seconds later, I’m asleep. That happens really fast with me!
