My August In England

My Sample Day

One day of your life

My August In England

Hi, my name is Nastya, I’m 20 and I live in Rostov-on-Don. This post is about August, 24, on that day I was in Oxford, England. All photos were taken with a film camera. So, welcome to Britain!

To go to London I have to get up earlier that I got used to. It takes 2 hours to get there by bus and I have to get to the bus stop first.

I always have some curly mess on my head in the morning.

Mattress on the floor instead of a bed, but the furnishing is cute.

Here’s what I see from the window in the bedroom, typical houses.

Typical English breakfast: always tea with milk, sandwich and yogurt.

View of the yard from the kitchen. The cat of the neighbours is trying to catch the only fish in the pool.

The forecast promised a sunny day!

I like this door with a hole for post. But each time something falls out of there I start of unexpectedness.

Not far from Victoria Station

We wanted to see as much as possible in one day. And we changed for an excursion bus with an opportunity to get out at each place of interest and get on the next bus.

The first thing that caught my eye in London – their classic little cars.

Almost everything works since morning, what can’t be said about evening.

Packed vegetables

Time for lunch!

We got out of the bus searching the fastest way to have a snack. And we couldn’t pass by this window!

It’s me in another souvenir shop.

Tourists from the second floor of our bus.

I envied those who were peacefully sitting in small cafes.

One of the subway stations in a rush hour.

Piccadilly Circus. They say if you stay there for some time you will certainly meet someone you know. I would check it if I had more time. )

Trafalgar Square, it seems to be in the very center of the city.

London is not going to look like asphalt jungle.

Behind this sign we may see the building of Westminster Abbey.

Great and terrible London eye! )

Opposite it is Big Ben. Near Ben we changed for water trasport that had to take us under numerous bridges to the Tower of London. We were enjoying the sun!

Famous Tower Bridge is gorgeous!

The fortress for which we had no strength already but we knew it was worth to faint of tiredness!

In one of the towers the bridge is seen from the window.

The inner part of the fortress. Tower is the whole city. The people who work here, live here too.

The clock of the Tower shows 4 pm. We have a long way back ahead to Oxford.

That’s why we left this very hospitable place, waited for our bus for half an hour, came to Victoria Station and went to Oxford from there. We liked the second floor in the bus so much!

In the evening we were expecting guests, but as far as we spent so long in the traffic jam the meeting was cancelled. It was only for the better – I was really tired!
My day finished as soon as we got to Oxford and sat into a car. I fell asleep on the way home ))

“If you feel tired of London – you are tired of life itself, because London has everything you may want from life!” – S. Johnson.

Travel and enjoy!
