Hello everyone! I’m Kseniya, I’m 32 years old and for the last 8 years I’ve been living in Benidorm (Alicante, Spain). Each November we celebrate the Patron Saints of Benidorm Day. The celebration lasts for several days and finishes with a firework. November, 16th was my day-off so I thought that I could show you how we live and have fun here in Benidorm.

It’s 8 a.m. and I’m taking a picture of the sunrise for you.

There are a lot of highrise buildings in Benidorm.

I saw that one of my bougainvillaeas has blossomed out (outside, they blossom all year round).

My cat is waiting for me in the bathroom…

To drink some water.

It’s time to feed Vasilisa.

I fell in love with birds a couple of years ago.
They’ve woken up and are twittering asking for food and fresh water.

Today, they are going to have carrots with egg birdseed. 7 plates, one for each cage.

Our (my husband and me) breakfast. Usually, we have tea/coffee with some biscuits.

Meanwhile, the city is waking up. The day promises to be warm and sunny as usual.

Doing the dishes…

A friend of mine gave me this IKEA jam.

These screens keep the room chilly.

What time is it?

Bye, kitty!

Leaving the apartment.

We live on the 26th floor.

Here’s the elevator.

And me!

On the street.

In the car with my husband.

We decided to have our car washed quickly.

Heading to a neighboring city to purchase some birdseed.

Here it is.

The pet shop where I usually buy everything my pets need.

Note the temperature. It’s perfect.

We’re in Benidorm.

At the farmer’s market, Isuddenly met my best friends!

We’re back home having our lunch. Pasta with chicken and some tuna and vegetables salad.

My husband has left for work (night shift) and I continue to watch CSI.

Then I cleaned the apartment and at 4.30 p.m. I headed to downtown for the holiday parade.

These are beautiful views on my way.

I’m a little bit early, so I want to show you some of the old city.

Those are real flowers.

And this is, I guess, the most romantic place in the city.

My husband used to play at this beach when he was a child.

The sunset.

A nice cafe.

These are locks with names of people in love on.

Passing by a children’s yacht school.

In the park, they are dancing tango today.

The parade has begun!

That Obelix is my husband’s older brother.

The lady in blue (next to the lady in red) is his wife.

According to the tradition, the queen goes last.

These are candies they throw up during the show.

These are my friends again.

It’s 9 p.m. and…

It’s fireworks!

My friend Katya with daughters.

And I’m going home.

I’m tired and I’m home. I open the window and that’s what I see. I love this city.
Thanks for spending this day with me!
