Hello! My name is Kseniya and I am 22. My boyfriend infected me with his hobby – digging. So now we often go to the country to dig out something interesting and old, maybe WWII artifacts. Usually, we go with friends but this weekend we decided to go on a romantic dig, just for two of us.
We chose god-forsaken woods of the Kaluga Region.
Unfortunately, I can’t show you us in the morning because my camera hindered preparation and I decided not to make my boyfriend nervous.
It’s embarassing but I brush my teeth after breakfast because I hate taste of food mixed with the taste of a tooth paste.
I believe that no person looks like normal him/her in the morning.

Feeding my cat…

But she starts digging the food into the floor.

She’s succeeded!

We took the kitty from an animal shelter.

Meanwhile, Misha’s packing stuff for the trip…

And I do the bed.
By the way, we rent this apartment.

I like the view from our window!
We’re in the car and we left 23 minutes later than we’d planned which means what we may get stuck in a traffic jam. Misha’s really angry with me.

We dropped in at my former apartment (I’d lived there before I started dating with Misha) to pick up one more member of our family.

Here he is! Felix, my favorite dog!

I wonder how much more time we’ve wasted?

At sunrise, we decide to have breakfast, hot tea and sausage sandwiches. That’s all we have.

Making our first stop.

To do the business, you know…

Suddenly, we heard some noise and that’s what we saw!

Misha took a picture of us.

It’s time to go!

I’m having a snack. This time it is a biscuit.

Sharing the biscuit.

We have to make a stop to take some spring water for tea and cereal we’ll have to make today.

The more we drive, the less houses we see.

Almost there!

We make another stop to blow the tires off. In the country, it’s better to go like this.

My dog matches the seats.

From this place…

It’s better to check the route against the navigation system.

The ride is getting bumpy.

Inside that box, hunters and fishermen keep their hunting and fishing equipment.

No network coverage…

This is it. It is a ‘camp’ where we usually stay with friends.
In this forest you will never meet a human but there are plenty of wild animals.

The dog can’t believe his happiness!

He can run!

And all the sticks are his!

While it’s daylight, Misha’s collecting some wood for our evening fire.

It’s time to go dig!

This is a part of a German gas mask. Noone really needs it and when people find something like this, they just throw it away. That’s why the forest is full of useless piles of metal.

This dugout was left from our previous trip and we decided to finish it off.

As it turned out later, those diggings were in vain.

Listening to a woodpecker.

Usually, I help Misha but this time I made just a couple of digs to find out that I was dead tired.

He loves me too!

Misha found four candies in his pocket and we shared them. As you see, we didn’t eat a lot. The point is that we are those people who can forget about food doing something interesting and important for them.

I made a fire while Misha was digging. I love gathering sticks for it and even more I love the smell of my clothes after that.

What a compact dog we have!

It’s time to go back to the ‘camp’.

November forest is especially quiet.

I’m holding a pot which Misha has found.

We didn’t find a lot that day. However, we took home this old sewing machine left by one of the diggers. We love bringing home all kinds of junk!

It’s time to have dinner.

Our cereal. It’s so mouthwatering! There’s nothing better than cereal made in the forest.
We boil some rice and buckwheat and fry onion. Then we mix it all and boil with canned stewed meat.

My flashlight’s helping me to find food.

We fall asleep a little bit earler than usuall, but it’s so good falling asleep in the forest because it’s so quiet and comfortable in the tent.

Yes, my egotism made me take a picture of myself and not of the two of us.

We cuddle up to each other like little puppies because it’s cold… and so romantic.

Good night!
The next day we were awakened by Felix barking and growling and couldn’t make him come back into the tent. In the morning we kept on digging and found German coins with swastika and the eagle. But that’s another story….

Nice!
Are also in the woods with my dog looking for treasures with my metal detector. Most old farms from 1600-1900 century. Maybe I will someday find something from the the time when the Russian was raging the cost of the town Sundsvall in Sweden in the 1721.
