My name is Ira, I’m 26 years old. I make collages and I’m a creative person in general.
I’m going to show you one day of my life in Riga and hope it will be interesting for both you and me.

We’re happy people because we wake up without an alarm clock. It’s about 8 a.m. now.

After I kissed my husband and discussed with him plans for the day, I headed to take a shower.

Then next hour and a half I spend in the kitchen making breakfast for my husband and for me.

I find it so nice leaving notes to each other on the fridge.

This is me and yes, I’m going to become a mother very soon.

Now I have some time to make lunch…

And work for a while.

Am I naive thinking that I’m going to watch these movies I’m downloading now at the maternity home?
Finally, I decided to postpone my work until the evening and headed to the kitchen.

My mom is a cook and why didn’t I inherit some of her talent?

My husband is waiting for my at the parking lot so I have to go.

Fall is just great this year in Riga!

It’s late already!

At first we had to go to the post office and then, to the construction site where Igor works because he had to meet someone there.

After that, we headed to downtown to bring some papers to the accounter.

I guess, we have to have our car washed…

I love Riga because even on Monday, it looks like this. It takes you no more than 20 minutes to get to any part of the city!

Our next destination is Jurmala.

This is how Jurmala looks in fall. It’s really beautiful.

The car’s clean so I can a good photo of myself in the mirror!

The Daugava River.

20 minutes later we are in Jurmala! It’s so convenient when cities are small and located close to each other.

This is why we came to Jurmala. This is a picture I picked up from one of the artists I found in this city as my potential partners. This idea dawned on me when I learnt that I was pregnant.

Igor suggested going to a cafe and I’m always for!

Going back to Riga. These uncompleted apartment houses are the result of the financial crisis…

Now we have to go to the city of Adazu to pick up a car and I have to help my husband to go that.

Heading back. I am a driver now.

We are pretty tired already…

So we decide to drop in at a gas station to have a coffee.

Done.
Keep on going.

We also planned going to the grocery store today.

This is where we buy food.

And finally, we are heading home.

At home we do what 80% of people do: having dinner, surfing the Internet and reading news.

Every day we go into the nursery and ask each other, “When is it going to happen to us?”

It’s almost 10 p.m. so good night everybody.
Ten days later I gave birth and my life’s changed greatly.
