My name is Nastya and I live in a city a lot of people have never heard of. It is Ivano-Frankovsk, Ukraine. I am a student of the Institute of Arts and study direction. I’m in my third year.
In general, we study just like all students from other universities do (lections, seminars…) but now it’s time for exams so the schedule is a bit crazy.

One of the advantages of studying arts, is that we don’t usually have classes in the morning because they are somehow connected with the body or voice, and morning is not the best time of the day for them.

When I open my eyes in the morning, I see my own ‘Wall of Fame’. These are pictures of me participating in different events.

My morning coffee. Since I’m being late, that’s going to be all for breakfast for today.
I didn’t show you my bathroom because it’s under renovation right now.

Yes, I love make-up and try to make everything so people never see me without it.

It’s me!

I have to choose a purse for today and it’s not an easy task!

Today, I’m having a rehearsal in the theater and I have to take my theater make-up.

Then we’ll have to take a photograph for the playbill so I have to take my costume too.

I have to run!

I want a real winter with a lot of snow!

This is the house I live in, the so called ‘Khruschev-era’ building.

At the bus stop I see a playbill of a play I took part in a week ago!

Ivano-Frankovsk is a small city and it has no trams.

10 minutes later I’m near the Regional Music and Drama Theater. My future job, I hope.

Heading to the back door.

I’m 10 minutes late.

These are girls I study with.

The theater set is ready.

When we finished rehearsing it was…

I have to run to a concert to be in time for the rehearsal and I have to call a taxi because I’m already late.
It began to snow!

They’ve started rehearsing without me.

Let’s begin. I prefer to manage the sound by myself and me is the only person I can rely on.

After the concert, actors were presented with a cake from the dean.

I’m so hungry, considering that I didn’t have breakfast and now it’s…

I wish it were a sausage…

‘Assembly hall’.

At the institute.
I call it McDonalds because the two have matching interior, in my opinion.

These are paintings by students of the institute.

The playbill!

At 6, I have another rehearsal and in this case I’m not an actor. I’m the director.

After the rehearsal, actors go home and I have to stay to finish the scenario.

I’m so tired.

Posters by senior students.

I can finally go home.

The city’s getting ready for the New Year and Christmas.

The main Christmas tree!

I’m home.

Are you still jealous that I don’t have to wake up early?

Great news! I’ve finally received these burning balls for the fire-show!

My favorite slippers.

Checking my mail, of course.

Then mom called me to go have dinner. By the way, I eat after 6 p.m. And after 8 p.m. and even after 10 p.m. I eat whenever I can.
After dinner I realized that I had some energy left to do my yearly project.

If not for my mom, this hamster would never have survived my ‘care’. I keep forgetting feeding him.
By the way, initially we thought it was a girl, but later we found out it is a boy!

My mom said she needed the computer so I got down to my hobby.

It’s 12.30 a.m. and I have to go to bed because tomorrow concerts, rehearsals and costumes will be waiting for me again! That’s how I live.
Good bye!

Hello, I am from Portland Oregon. I visited Ivano-Frankivsk in 2006. It was a beautiful city and lots of wonderful people. I remember the church being remodeled on the edge of town, near the WWII memorial. Also the fountain in the city center with a pizza shop nearby that I ate lunch at.
Love this site!
