Good Day! My name is Lana and I study in London at photography courses. I gonna show the day that I spent during winter holidays at my parents’ in Novy Urengoy at the Polar Circle – December, 10th.  All photos were taken with an iPhone cause I had only two film cameras with films enough only for study purposes.

Morning… It’s already one week I have come from London, and some days ago I came from Moscow – so I still can’t adapt to local time.

In the bathroom parents’ older cat Perchik (Pepper) is on duty. I brought him from the street 15 years ago, now it’s him who brings up a younger cat and a dog.

I usually prefer tea for breakfast, but mom wants me badly to evaluate the new coffee-machine.

Checking the weather. Happily, it’s got warmer and it’s great – I am going to walk with daddy and the dog and make a small photoshoot about it.

The dog named Chizh is happy about the coming walk. Usually on the pictures he looks like a blurred black and white spot..

My favorite radio-bag bought at Portobello market, a medium format camera Yashica 124G with black and white film I gonna shoot on and a film Canon 30 – just in case.

That’s how Yashika shows the street reality…

In the mean time the dog is scampering about… This is how he looks on most photos, I am satisfied! )

Wow, he froze in one position for a couple of seconds!

The walk is over – we come back home.

Time to load a new film, colour one this time.

In the mid day daddy and me are going to take the relatives to further go to the cemetery.

I love how this church at the precipice looks like.

Then we drive everyone home.

On the way we visit the main square of the town – here making of the ice city for New Year is in full swing!

I am talking to ice builders – they are glad to have a talk: they call me to go up, promise to let me build something too, in response I promise them to come back tomorrow with a camera and make a photoshoot about them.

On the next day different guys were working, but the photoshoot was a success anyway.

At home the offended dog is waiting for us: the older cat has occupied his place…

Meanwhile it’s evening already, parents and me are going to the restaurant to meet with my elder brother and niece.

Brother is showing a curious thing a coulomb with an image of Che Guevara. The strangely looking thing gives an interesting shade!

Then we have to drive younger generation home, they have to do their homework. )

The men decided to continue the evening playing billiards and I join them. The bar has such a set for the game.

Though the men prefer classics.

For me the bar has some cognac.

And as it was expected father wins…

Almost midnight, time to go home.

Older cat is still on duty in the bathroom, so everything is under control and I may go to sleep. )
