My name is Lex (Alexey), I’m 30, single, with no children and previous convictions. I live in New Jersey, the USA.
As a rule, I spend my weekends either traveling by car or repairing it. The day I want to show you I headed to the state of Maine. My main purpose was to see Acadia National Park. In fact, I went there to see what you see above.
The day before, I was driving a lot so that day I slept soundly. In the US you have to drive a lot in general because the country is very large.
But I still had to wake up.
I stayed at my friends’ and this is one of their cats watching me.
Sometimes they spoil furniture.
I know that girls love cats even better than men. So these are some more pictures of cats for you to enjoy.
You know what? These cats don’t like me!
So I have to show them my teeth…
To calm them down.
Ok, it’s time to go.
Boys are responsible for driving, while girls take care of water and TV.
This minivan has a 5.6 l engine, 2 air conditioners, 4 comfortable seats and one bed in the rear, and a DVD player with TV.
This navigation system was the first thing I bought when I came to America.
We made a stop at the city of Salem. It’s hot, +40C and we hide from the heat in air conditioned stores.
At a local graveyard.
We don’t want to get fat, do we?
Maine is famous for its lobsters. This dish is called a lobster roll.
It is also famous for its stony beaches but we managed to find a sandy one. Water temperature was something about +15C but as we were there, we couldn’t help taking a swim!
This beach is not very large.
That’s a typical landscape of the state.
It is a state with rigorous weather.
And this is what the face of a happy traveller looks like.
Having some fun.
However, we planned to get to the eastern side of the state by evening, so we had to keep on going.
Americans make money on everything. They sell their old junk calling it “antique” or “vintage”.
We’ve found a cap with ear flaps!
I have to show them how to wear it right.
Now I want a balalaika, a bear and some vodka.
They sell old nets to catch lobsters and crabs!
Meanwhile, I’m relaxing.
We stopped to buy some blueberries, when I saw a map at the store for clients to show where they’ve come from.
Who needs that?
He is so sad…
They did know how to make good cars in the past.
Keep on going north.
From here, I can see a piece of Canada!
I wonder if it is located on the America’s or Canada’s territory.
I’ve never had anything like that before!
Trying to understand what all those tools were for.
No matter how tidy you are, you’ll still be covered with lobster juice all over!
A couple of hours later we were at another restaurant… eating lobsters again.
You can never have enough of them!
Who cares about etiquette?
By the way, after that I had to change my T-shirt.
The day is coming to an end…
It could have been the last photograph of my day… But I’m not going to go to bed yet.
By sunrise, we were by Cadillac Mount.
Waiting for the sun.
It is worth my struggle against sleep.
I am happy.
The sun is showing up.
And then we saw a rainbow!
As you see, we are not alone who came to see the sunrise from Cadillac Mount.
This photo will go to my parents.
I’m sure that this day will give me enengy for several years to come.
Location: Acadia National Park
