Hello! I’m Elena, a librarian of Tel-Aviv University. I’d like to tell you about the 10th of January. It was one of my week days, a liitle unusual…
I got up late, at 8 am, ’cause I had some reasons to start my working day later.

It’s already spring here.

I always begin my morning with a cup of coffee and seeing through my mail, stocks and my blog.

That day I decided to make some toast with salmon.

After breakfast I work in Photoshop for a little while and understood that I wanted to make a composition and take some pictures but I didn’t want to go anywhere. Alas, I had to leave for work and visit my bank.
So, I left my sweet home(

A long day was waiting for me…
First of all I went to the bank. There weren’t many people there but

I decided to fill in the forms and put them and cheques into an envelope which I’d place into the box ’cause bank operations are cheaper when you do so.
Then I went to the bus stop.

On my way…

The bus is waiting at the traffic-lights. Soon I’ll be in Tel-Aviv and now I have to watch refugees and illegals waiting for somebody who can give them a work.

40 -50 minutes passed and I’m at Tel-Aviv University campus.

This is a staff entrance to the library.
I’m at work.

Welcome to our library!

Sometimes I work here, at the delivery desk.
Everything is computerised.

Our bar code reader. Bar codes are on all the books and all the student’s cards.

There are three floors in our library. The ground floor is for our reading rooms, a room for relaxation and

a room with copying machines.

Administration room.
Our library accountant Sorina.

She’s our woman of fashion)

And this is my working place. It is on the second floor.

There are a lot of book-shelves here and students are often look lost. No thematic division, only tablets with numbers on them. First you have to find the book you need number in the catalogue and then you should find it on the shelves. Sometimes it’s difficult for students and I help them.

Students are studying.

This is a room for group working. Soon all the 2nd floor will be reconstructed, all the books will be taken to the 1st floor and here will be rooms for such group working, so popular among our students nowadays.
Our Tsvi. He puts the books back.

I’m at my working place. There are a lot of students today. Every moment someone asks for help and I try to find a few minutes to make a post in my blog but suddenly I understand I can’t write about food now.
It’s time to have lunch and I go out through our library exit. If you forget to mark your book at our delivery desk you’ll here a great “beep” )

There’re a lot of different cafes in the campus but first let’s have a short walk around it.

Aha, here’s the place where we can have lunch.

My lunch. I’ll have it at the library.

On my way back to the library I see a promo action of our food plant new product.

Oranges. You can eat them if you want to.
I’m at the point of destination, entrance to our library.

Our canteen. Let’s have lunch)
My soup.

It’s almost half past three. The second part of my day isn’t very busy and I have enough time to write some words in my LJ blog.

At 7 pm our staff will go to the restaurant to celebrate Miri’s birthday. She’s 60 today.

We’ll go by Stella’s car to Arena shopping mall.
On the way.

Aha. The point of our destination. Always remember your parking number!)

Shopping…mmm… but our table at the restaurant is waiting for us…

Here we are.

Let’s have some wine)

I was so hungry I forgot about making photos for a while)

Time flies quickly… We paid our bill and went back.

My girls left me at the bus stop in Tel-Aviv. My bus came at once.

I went back home enjoying the views of the night city.

I’m home and it’s time to go to bed ’cause tomorrow my working day will start earlier.
