Hello to you. My name is Julia and I’m going to show you one day of my life. I started it with my home, then continued it at work to gradually move to a recreation center off Moscow.
Here’s a general idea of what my day was like: My daughter and me headed to Winter School for masters which became some sort of a tradition in the university I work for. The purpose of the school is to attract talented students from other universities.
Often, I wake up earlier than this so I was fine that day.

That’s the clothes that I put on and my suitcase.

I’d woken up my daughter and could enjoy my breakfast. It was simple but very tasty. I had sausages, brown bread and coffee.

Meanwhile, I was making some cereal for my daughter because she’s not a fan of meat.

Here she is, posing for my iPhone.

It’s my turn to show up.
I was full, clean and happy.

I had to do my bed but before that I had to take my dog away.

It was my son’s turn to walk the dog and we were ready to go!

Heading to the metro. This suitcase was not easy to pull. Especially uphill.

Nyuta was telling me something (I don’t remember what it was).

We had to go to my office because a car was waiting for us there.

We stopped to buy a coffee. It is so good drinking hot tasty coffee in winter when it is so cold!

We entered the university from the back door and the guard was surprised seeing the two of us with our suitcase, two rucksacks and just one pass.

That’s my desk!
The car was waiting outside!

On the way.
Chistye Prudy.

We stopped by at one of our administrative buildings to pick up a bunch of boxes.

We’ve been at this bridge thrice! Because the driver got lost…
The situation improved only after we turned on our navigation system.
We were to be the first to arrive to prepare to register all our students but we lost a lot of time going in circles in the city trying to find the right way.

The left building is where we were going to stay. The right one is a regular residential house. It is situated on the territory of the recreation center and it’s weird.

While we were waiting for loaders, a cat came up to say hello.

We had to decode what all those signs on the boxes were to tell the loaders what to do. By the way, I hardly managed to save my suitcase because they tried to carry it away too!
When we saw the rooms we were going to stay in, we realized that it was a mistake because they were a way worse than those of our students. And we were right. There was some misunderstanding with one of the documents so we waited for the issue to be settled.

One of my students called and said that one of the buses had arrived so I rushed there.

Then I learnt that my students were waiting for me by “a bar” which I couldn’t find anywhere around. It turned out that their driver dropped them off at the wrong place and left and I had to save them. I called our travel agent immediately.

Finally, we were checking in.
While we were checking in, several buses came and I had to register all those students. Seeing all that, representatives of other winter schools stepped in to help.

I was given keys and food certificates for my students and then was told that my students had to “disappear”. There were 160 students on the whole, including 44 mine.
Finally, all of them were accomodated.

It was getting dark…

We were so hungry waiting for our dinner which they were to serve at 7.30 p.m. We had’t had anything since breakfast!

These toys are a present from my daughter. She made them for me by herself.

That open buffet was very much to the point!

We had to start our educational program, but since it was late and we all were very tired, we decided to just show them a movie.
We watched and discussed the movie sitting in a very cold room! It was good we had our stomachs full…

I retured to my room very tired.

Do you think I went to bed after that? Not at all! I had to work! The next day we expected teachers to come and I had to make sure taxi drivers knew what to do, where to go and I had their cellphone numbers (just in case).

I talked to my husband and went to bed.
Thanks for spending this crazy day with me!
These are all photos taken with my iPhone but I didn’t want it to be this way! I just wanted to take some in the morning in order not to wake up my family with a flash earlier than they had to wake up… But the day was so bustling that I completely forgot about my camera… sorry.
