Hello, everyone! My name is Anna, I’m 28 and I’m married and live in Hua Hin, Thailand. I also have a dog named Thaika.
It’s January, 21st and welcome to my day!

My alarm clock woke me up as usual.

Thaika knows what “wake up your dad” means (she jumps up on the bed and tries to play with my sleeping husband) but that morning she decided to sleep by his side.

And I turned on my laptop while those two were sleeping.

When I heard my husband woke up, I went to the kitchen to squeeze some juice. I try to make it a rule in our family, drinking fresh juice in the morning.

My husband is not a fan of juice and he doen’t like to wake up in the morning either. You can see it in his face.

Market Village is one of the largest stores in the city. We went there to buy some food and have breakfast.

I love Thai cuisine and usually eat here.

They accept cards here but first you have to put some money on it.

My husband ordered some battered fish with rice and it cost him just $1.6.

And I bought some rice with shrimps, curry and something else (don’t remember the name) and paid even less!

Our receipt.

Then, we headed to the store. They offered good discounts there. Probably, it was because of the holiday, Chinese New Year.

That’s what we got.

The city is decorated for the New Year. Chinese people make up from 9% to 15% of the population of the city.

Our laptop broke down so we brought it for repair. They said that they would send it to Bangkok but they didn’t. We were not surprised to hear that by the way. They promised to repair it by the next week.

Last night they celebrated the New Year in the city but we missed it.

The city is decorated with these Chinese lanterns. Thai people celebrate New Year thrice! What a happy nation!

We went to another store to buy some sour cream and yogurt. We call this place “store for whites” because it has a wide selection of European products.
I took this photo to show you some exotic fruits.

Dairy products.

We needed to fill up our tank. Such ‘gas stations’ are very convenient.

After that, we headed to a pet shop/veterinary clinic to buy a flea collar.

That’s what January is like in Thailand.

People love dogs in this country and feed them if they can. You can hardly find a skinny dog here. In our neighborhood there are about 7 dogs which we feed.

Here they are.

That day, I decided to wash one of the dogs and dress it with the flea collar. As you may guess, the dog was not really happy about it.

I bribed it with a tasty treat and it gave up.

We washed Thaika and dressed her with a flea collar too.

It was time to have lunch.

I love coconut water and besides it’s super healthy.

We bought milk and yogurt to make a lot of yogurt. We just mixed it all up and waited for a day. Many people do the same in this city because good yogurt is hard to find and it’s very expensive.

See that papaya? It grew this big in just 8 months! We look forward to tasting its fruit!

This was my lunch. Pretty light and low-calorie.

In the restaurant, we met a guy from America who told us that every weekend they hanged out together, went for a walk and then to the restaurant to talk and have fun. He offered us to join and we agreed. But… when we came and saw all those people wearing special uniform and shoes, we had to turn around and promise to join them next time.

We had some time and decided to check out theĀ water park they were building. They promise to open it in two weeks!

I’d love to swim in artificial waves!

Then we went to the golf field and met our friend who loves to fly planes.

While the plane was flying…

We enjoyed strolling around the field.

Our friend invited us to have dinner together.

It was kind of romantic!

But we had to go home because Thaika missed us and wanted to play.

It was late…

I studied some Thai alphabet before going to bed.

Thank you for being with me. Hope you enjoyed my day too!
