My 24th Birthday In Pushkin, Saint Petersburg

Hello everybody!

My name is Julia. Currently I’m unemployed and I want to show you how I spent my birthday. That day I turned 24 and I was born on February, 14th so:

It’s Pushkin, Saint Petersburg, Russia. February, 14th.

The beginning of that day was very unusual. My friend congratulated me on my birthday at 12 a.m. and gave me a present.

This thing is perfect to drink coffee from.

I woke up much later.

I didn’t hear the alarm clock which is strange. Besides, when I woke up, I found a bunch of “Happy Birthday” text messages from my friends.

I drank a glass of water (I put it on the table before going to sleep in order not to forget about it in the morning).

That’s what I look like in the morning.

Turning on my laptop.

My mom’s present.

More messages from my friends!

Usually it takes me less time to check my e-mail and vkontakte account.

I placed this guy in my bedroom in hope he would protect my sleep.

I usually have oatmeal with banana for breakfast but that morning I found none.

I had a cup of coffee (I love coffee too much).

I decided to boil some vermicelli with milk, the recipe from my childhood.

I went into my mom’s room to weight myself. That’s a lot!

Recently, I made up my mind to take care of my body and prepare for the beach season. You can’t imagine how much I envy skinny girls! I also respect them a lot because I know how hard it is to keep your body in shape.

Then I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth.

I’ve never thought that taking a photograph of myself in the mirror would be so difficult!

What time was it?

The kid studies at home so we eat breakfast together.

I never know how much food will be enough for me so I always cook more than I need… The kid saved it from spoiling!

After breakfast, I decided to go for a jog.

But I had to fix my player first… It’s so old but I like it and I don’t want a new one.

It was cold outside (-15C) so I put on my warm clothes.

The cat looks indifferent as usual.

I usually jog for about an hour, then take a shower and change into new clothes.

After that, I watch movies because as a rule I don’t have anything special to do.

That day I had some “bosou” for lunch (from “borsch” and “soup”). It’s something between borsch and cabbage soup.

After lunch, I decided to put some makeup on my face because we were to have some sort of a birthday party.

Before.

I have to use my sister’s eye shadows (I don’t like these colors by the way!) because the cat has broken my own eye shadow set.

After.

I wish I could have photographed myself painting my nails but it was impossible.

The clock showed…

Meanwhile, my older nephew returned from school to congratulate me. It was so nice of him!

The younger nephew kept in step with his older brother.

My sister is a genius! She gave me what I needed so much and couldn’t buy it myself for the last three years! It was a universal card reader.

Another present I received.

At about 6.30 p.m. I had an appointment with my doctor. When I first saw the date, I thought it was a joke!

Then my friend came. She was in no mood for a photo session.

Oh, I almost forgot to show you the greeting card I received from the younger kid.

He has a talent to make grammar mistakes.

The best part of the “party”!

Every year, I break my head over what to wish and it never comes true!

My favirote friend.

We moved to my room to chat for a while.

I look happy, am I not?

I was telling her something…

And the kids kept bringing me presents. It’s a sweet note with a wish.

The younger kid doesn’t like to be photographed.

I guess he will have a funny photograph in his passport.

I entered the bathroom and saw that my mom decided to wash our palm tree in the bathtub!

I don’t drive. I’m in my friend’s car waiting in a line to fuel the car.

“Cloakroom”.

I decided to have my heart examined by my doctor to find out if I could jog. They said I could!

Usually, I make cakes my myself but that day we went to a cafe.

In the cafe, I got carried away by talking and forgot to take photographs…

At home, I visited my mom and our squirrel… The squirrel looked sleepy.

I was happy and tired.

That fellow will turn 10 next month! I come to think that the modern generation grows too fast (I’m 180 cm tall)!

I turned on my laptop again because my friends waited for me to send them the photographs I took.

I failed to make up a good sign for this photo. I have some feelings about it but I can’t express them with words…

I fell asleep.
