Hi, I am Mila. I am 23 and stay in a small Siberian town Surgut. It is a very cold place. I will tell you how I spent the 2nd of January, the day when the celebration of New Year has just been over.

I try to sleep a lot on Saturdays and Sundays. Today I got up at 1 p.m.

I usually start my day with a cup of strong tea and net surfing. The chocolate presents were given to my by grateful clients at work.

The staff was taken from a small table and temporarily put here. That table was used during our preparation fro the New Year feast.

I call up my friend and we both go to for a walk. The center of the city is almost empty.

Due to a lack of sights people take photos next to the Christmas tree near a bank.

A long line consisting of 20 people is waiting for a chance to buy a ticket to enter the park. It is too cold and as soon as we enter the park we hurry to a small cafe which is also full. The guard is telling us to pay more money if we want to get inside but we refuse. A couple that leaves the cafe is very kind to give us their tickets and we enter the lovely and warm place. The box contains notes with predictions – that is how one can entertain himself while waiting for an order.

Finally a table is free and we can relax and have a rest.

We ordered pancakes.

The place look nice and cosy, it is a house in the Ukrainian style.

There are a lot of visitors with kids here.

Now we can go for a walk. The park is called Old Surgut and tells us about the 19-20 century. It has streets with wooden houses, and museums devoted to exploration of the North. There is also a church with angles next to it.

The monument reminds visitors that they are in the capital of oil extraction.

Parents look worried which is understood as the clowns are too ugly.

Now I will do some needlework.

And iron clothes.
