Hello! My name is Olga Ornata. I’m not only an artist, I also help other people develop their creative abilities. I hold art groups and master classes in Moscow and abroad. Last time I was offered to work in Asia with a married couple. So, I want to show you one on my days on Koh Phangan Island in the Andaman Sea.

I lost my cellphone in Bangkok (or it was stolen) so I had to use my travel Siemens. I woke up earlier than my alarm clock rang. Those birds go crazy in the morning trying to shout each other down.

I came out to the terrace. It was windy and sunny.

Nice view, isn’t it?

I had breakfast while the rest were sleeping.

This is where we exercise. The terrace is large and comfortable.

Before that, we would start exercising at 11 a.m. but we diceded to do it earlier because it was getting dark on the island at 6 p.m. So I didn’t have time for my usual morning swim and had to skip it.

The day before we went to a Full Moon Party so I waited for everybody to wake up.
This is Masha. She brought us some sheets of paper, paints, brushes, etc.

When we started working, it was…

I usually sit on those pillows.
Actually, I hold master classes for photographers but that time it was for artists. We exercised in “blocks”. Each block consisted of three days. On the first day we exercised in composition. The second day was devoted to learning how to feel more at ease and not to be afraid of paper and paints. Each third day of the block, we studied the arts academy and tried to acquire some grasp of the work.
Above are Mitya and Masha practicing scandalous painting.

Masha is very focused in this photo.

Usually, it is quiet on the beach but that day someone came there with his music recorder, turned it on and started dancing.

Warming up.

Mitya’s expressiveness sometimes exceeds all possible limits.

Another time check.

Every day, we also review each other’s homework and discuss it. I saw progress in drawing geometric figures!

That yellow vase is from the drawing above.

We finished the exercise. I was tired and hungry.

This is where we park our motorcycles.

Me.

I’m in a cafe.

I parked my motorcycle over there.

That man is the owner of the place. He’s from Australia. He married a smiling and very good-looking Thai woman and they opened this cafe together. I like the size, the price and the quality of the food they serve here. That blonde is his sister. She’s here on vacation.

My order.

I was full.

It began to rain when I was in the cafe. I had nothing to dry the seat so I had to sit on it as it was.

Going back home. My place is over there, on the top of the hill.

I picked up my loved one and we went on a ride. We didn’t know for sure where we were going. We just took a map along.

I was the passenger and could take some photos (although it was dangerous).

A Chinese chapel.

It was so quiet there.

A bunch of sunrays was wandering through the mountains…

And the bells were ringing in the wind.

You can whisper here but it is better not to say anything at all.

Hey! It’s me.

I was the driver on the way back home.
It was low tide and I didn’t think I would be able to have a swim in the evening.

A couple of furry fellas came by to say hello.

It was getting dark when we came to our Australian friends…

The same food for dinner. It’s tom yam.

Shrimp tempura.

A glass of water with lime and ice.
I remembered that I was supposed to take photographs of the clock. Here it is.

At home.
Mitya skyped with someone.
I didn’t see the sea but could hear it well.

It was warm and dark. The DJ was gone so it was also quiet.

I was not hungry. I just liked the idea of having some fruits with ice cream (pineapple).
It was almost 10 p.m. but I was tired and went to bed. I suffer from no insomnia here on the island.
Thank you for reading! Bye!
