One Day of a Chorister Translator

My Sample Day

One day of your life

One Day of a Chorister Translator

Hi all the respected guys who read and write things here ! My name is Ann. I live in Amsterdam and don’t work as my husband is really freakishly rich! Kidding. I live in Kemerevo and I am 24. Less amazing city but a good one too. I work as a translator in an agency that helps to adopt children. Besides I am fond of singing and I am the second soprano in the Academic Choir KemSU.

I don’t have a fancy camera or iPhone so the pictures won’t be very colorful but I want you to spend the day with me. It is really worth it!

I am so bad at waking up.  I keep pleading for five more minutes of dreaming. And I don’t want to leave my bed so badly. I don’t want to stand up. Finally I make myself to do that of course. Oh! You won’t see pictures of my toothbrush as I think it is not good)

Usually I don’t eat in the morning but this pretty salad looked so yummy in the fridge that i just lost my mind. And coffee is my everyday friend in the morning as it is supposed to make me all active and stuff. I only have to really believe in its power.

I don’t have Dior or Chanel as I am saving for Bently. But these babies make me a pretty nice girl and you won’t be scared looking at me ))

My pretty cat was snoring on the window. Every morning he keep staring in the dark of February.

The question is where I am heading. Actually to the airport.   I am meeting some French guys today. They are coming to the trial about adopting a baby. I will tell you two secrets! Promise to keep them! To tell you the truth I usually work with Irish people but all of a sudden, and for an unknown reason, the agency sent me French people. Thanks God that French is my second language! The second secret is that they were supposed to come at  6.30 am but the flight was delayed and I slept a little longer.  Also I don’t have a driving license and I don’t have a car so I have a driver)  Right now we are at the lot of the airport.

They are in our car and I can’t take a picture of them (It is forbidden by the agency). We have to go to Kiselevsk as it is where the child lives. It will take us two hours. While we are going I can fall asleep. It is my superpower. But right now I can’t. I guess the coffee was too strong.  But then I will show you our new road. The governor himself opened it last fall! A really good road!

Our beauty!

Finally we got here. This place is really good as all the stuff is kind and loving but the children don’t have a family.  But sooner one of them will get one and leave this place in a month.

Inside it is really cozy, believe me. I wanted to post pictures but then realized that it is a public agency so I decided to keep the pictures in my camera just to remember this place. And here you see a thing that is made by people and it stands in the garden.

And here is another one!

It is time to go back to Kemerovo ! It is nearly two o’clock!

Welcome to the capital Kuzbas. My hand was trembling and so… Welcome to Ku!

It is very sunny in Kemerovo today but really frosty. Oh my lovely streets and main roads!

The main street and the hotel is really close!

I love my city!

So we brought our foreigners to the hotel and now they are in their room. The driver gave me a lift home. And the work is done for today. And here is a tree that grows near my house. Isn’t it beautiful?

Somebody draw this window on the wall. I think it is really creative.

My baby wants me to play with him but I have no desire to run like a crazy person all over the flat and bump into stuff. Sorry kitty!

And now he is sad!

It is me! Hi there! I am wearing my home clothes.  And the toothbrush somehow got into the shot! Hate it!

It is time to turn on the laptop to see what is going on in the world!

Now it is time to have dinner. Squid with potatoes and of course tea with sweets!

I keep surfing the Internet and the time is like this. At seven I have a rehearsal. So I can keep doing nothing until then. But suddenly I hear a telephone call and my friends invite me somewhere to drink tea. That is better than sitting at home doing nothing!

I got into the taxi and now I am in the center of Kemerovo. I am looking to the left. Enjoy the view!

Now I am looking to the right!

Five minutes later I am at the place! We often spend spare time in this Japanese restaurant ( we have like millions of them ). It is situated just opposite the place where I sing and rehearse. This fish has been living in that place for million years.   Previously it had a friend but now it is gone.

This person called me. Grisha is a friend of mine and a part-time president of the choir and its baritone.

I will drink tea in the choir class. Here I’ll have coffee. A cappuccino, but I eat the foam immediately.

Half an hour later we were joined by a very good woman and the first alto named Anne. We often call her by the name or by the last name. Probably because they are very beautiful. She is just after work and drinks tea, laughing gaily.

Enough drinking tea it is time to sing! So we are in the class. We used to have a beautiful sign but after the repairs it was lost.

Here sit the soprano and the tenor. The first place to the right on the second row (where the folder is) is mine.

We have a small kitchen where we can drink tea or eat cookies!

Make sure to sign the score, because sometimes they magically disappear.

We have a tour in March – we are going to Belgium. So now we are rehearsing various works, one of them is the Jamaican Song Linstead Market. I love it very much.

Olesya is looking for new music: not everyone has everything that is required. Olesya is a dresser, and at the same time she is my neighbor.

Nastya is also the second soprano,  she used to sit next to me, but recently she was moved into the first row, so that we could get used to the sound of each other, as it will be at the concert in Belgium.

We were rehearsing for three hours. Every hour we have a break.
In the choir we have a tradition: when someone’s birthday comes the person is to bring the birthday cake. So now this guy is going to give us a delicious pie. Nastya decided to help him to cope with the strings on the package.

The cake was great!

Taisiya is not happy maybe she didn’t get the cake. She sits next to me and has an amazing voice!

The rehearsal is over. We are all going home!

We got lots of things like diplomas and stuff. We are really good. And the clock is broken by the way.

The class is empty.

Here is the poster about our concert in Belgium. They sent it to us. Some people don’t even know where Kemerovo is but sooner or later everybody will know that. We will be so damn popular!

It is time to leave!

I am ready to go and archive new aims))

I can’t play but I desperately want to learn how to do that!

Olesya is still doing some deals and we say goodbye!

The TV is on. What else to do when the whole University is empty?

I am not heading home we decided to visit some fancy place.

Drinking wine after work. Oh! It feels so good!

Time to call the taxi!

I am after shower and getting ready to sleep. I can’t fall asleep without my cremes and night rituals. The day is gone. So fast. Good night to all!
