Graduate Day in Warsaw

My Sample Day

One day of your life

Graduate Day in Warsaw

My name is Valentina and I am a graduate student at the Moscow University. And I hope that after the fall I will become a candidate of science. Now I am at Moscow and it is really cold here so I decided to write about one of those days in Warsaw. All the pictures are from my mobile Samsung Wave 525 and this is just an ordinary day of mine there. Except that I got up earlier. So, enjoy!

So now it is nearly six. Usually I get u at eight.

And this is the bus where I spent the night. I was for the last time.

I left the town for the week-ends so now I am back and I am heading home. The first thing that I see is an amazing ad that advices me to go to see Chopin.

I will take that offer. I had it in my plans. In the meantime I am going in the dark transitions of Zahodnye station. Central station is already fixed and repaired. It is now glamorous, and the Western one called Warsaw Zahodnye is still in the best traditions of Soviet gates.

The bus is already waiting for me. Actually it is only three stops but who cares. I want home!

Out of the bus and now I am going home near the University of Chemistry. I work here.

And here is my house. I live on the second floor. It is a pity that we can’t see the windows. I decorated them with bees and flowers.

Now I will have breakfast and run to work. Today I am having sandwich.

And coffee of course!

So while my breakfast is getting ready I will do morning exercises. I will be jumping. I think it is the best way to lose weight and become all fit and super sexy. Besides even boxers do a lot of exercises like that. There is nobody to take a picture of me. So here is my rope and that’s it.

After that it is time to take a shower!

Got dressed. Sorry for the mess. I just came back!

Here is my breakfast. My lovely sandwich and a glass of juice and coffee. You can also see sweets. I have a sweet tooth and I can’t live without them. I can eat like billions of them.

On my cup you also see pictures of horses. I draw them myself and I am proud of it.

The time is 7:30 and it is time to leave home and head to work. Usually my work begins at nine. But if I come earlier I will be allowed to leave earlier. That is an important point today.

I am at work!  Just put a new synthesis. Long nonsense, sticking out from the center of the bulb is the reflux. It also cools, but the water is flowing from bottom to top, so that the reverse cooler :) This is so for a process when the solvent boils, condenses in the fridge and goes back down.
You also see the orange ball. It contains argon, with which the entire bulb is filled. If there will be water or air the reaction won’t start in the way I need it to go. In other words… It will blow.

While the reaction develops, I am going crazy. This is what I draw.

All right, the product is brewed, filtered. To do this, we put it in a special thing, it is right on the vacuum hose around the bulb with a substance heater ( we need 250 degrees ) , and even this temperature can be changes, but we do not need this. Now the substance will go directly into vapor, and the output from that part of the bulb is going inside the heater deposit back. The thing is clean and nice again!

We need to cool the vacuum pump, it is “dry ice” – a solid carbon dioxide. By the way pairs of them are made also by sublimation.

When you throw dry ice in a thermos with acetone, it all gurgle and soars in a very funny way! I’m afraid you won’t appreciate it.

All of the synthesis are completed, the material selected, cleaned, assembled, while it is nearly an hour so it’s time to go to dinner. The fact that I live around the corner gives me a chance to go home during the dinner.
So, I prepare the mushrooms and cook potatoes and salad.

Mushrooms and the potatoes are cooked. So I am just filtering them from the broth, mix the ingredients together with cream and the soup is ready!

Once again I brew the coffee. Soon I am going to the gym. I try to go there every day (when I am not going anywhere). Horse riding, going to the pool… I do these things all the year round. Today I have horse riding. Usually, I, of course, don’t put all my stuff on the floor, but today I did it just for you! The bag is for the helmet.

That is how it looks in a bag.

My coffee is ready! Sweets again!

Back to work. This cute baby stands near my house.

Now the new synthesis, and the substance is obtained. On the left – as it fluoresces at room temperature, and on the right – at liquid nitrogen temperature (about -200 Celsius). Well, I see the difference in the overall pretty well. I hope you see it too.

But I have to do it all in a scientific way. So I am going to shoot the spectra.

I am not going to show you all the devices. I am leaving earlier. At five actually. This is because the training is now and besides after it I have to go to a concert at 9.
This is our office corridor.

A beautiful tree outside!

I am going to the bus stop. Usually I go on foot. It takes about half an hour. But today I am in a hurry so I will take a bus. On my way I have such an old house. I love it. It needs repairs but after them it will be just amazing!

While waiting for a bus I like reading. This book is the best. It is called Lady L.

This is my stop. It is called Tatar stop as here is situated a Tatar cemetery.

Train rails.

Here is the stable!

The main territory belongs to an army object. Here they have a riding school for officers. So we can see such guns all over the place.

It is just a section for those who love horses.

This is a symbol on the building. Cute horse!

I have changed and that is how I look now.

And this is my horse for today. His name is Cuba.

I need to clean him first. These are all the brushes for him.

Now I am choosing a saddle.

And the bridle. As you remember I have my own helmet.

A friend of mine took pictures of us. There were no pictures of a jump. Of course I have such pictures from other days but that will be unfair. So enjoy this one!

He is back in his stable. Take a rest, baby!

This is my friend Tomek.

Leaving the stable. I really have to hurry up!

The time is 7:30. Now I am becoming a beauty.

That is how I look now. Not too fancy. But still!

A glass of juice. Eating is not good right now. And besides I am really thirsty!

At 8 o’clock I am going out. In general, I usually have something to do in the evenings after practice – at least I’ll go to the store. Sometimes, however, problems at work, then I have to go back to college. At the evenings I am allowed to do there everything. Usually I start listening to music. A couple of times I got so absorbed that when the boss came at 8 am, he was very surprised that I did not go away for the night :)
But today we have a concert. The streets look like this.

I have to change my bus here.

And of course I was late = ( Well a kind man on the road took me to the concert hall (in which I had not been). Had a chat in Polish, useful. As I was late, I am not allowed in… Here’s a book about Chopin. Pihon – this is not a curse :) The letters in the word Chopin were replaced =)

And, I almost forgot! Daniel Trifonov plays. So the tickets were sold out, I bought mine 3 weeks ago.
Well, here is he. On the left you can see a girl – first violin, a rare combination of beauty and talent. She is Russian, probably : )

Intermission was small. It is an encore, so the orchestra is resting now.

This is how the concert hall looks like from the outside.

I got on this tram. Now I am in the center of the city.

Stalin’s skyscraper-type – a palace of culture and science, the memory of the Soviet yoke. The Poles are very fond of it , according to legend is the only place where the palace of culture and science is not visible. However, in my opinion, it is a showing off, they actually have a house like this for a long time.

I got off the bus and now I am going to take another one. We have no Underground here.

Night buses. In an hour there comes only fun. But they work the whole night.

Back at home!

Back in my apartment. It is late and have to get up early. You can see a poster of Florensto. I was on his concert here.

I had a shower and I think this is time to show my face!)) See you!
