My Sample Day

One day of your life

Quiksilver New Star Outside Saint Petersburg

Hello everyone! I’m Victoria, I’m 23 and I live in Saint Petersburg. I work for a small publishing house which is the only one in Russia that publishes a magazine about snowmobiles, jet skis, etc. I want to show you how I spent March, 10th. It was both a workday and a day-off for me – a ski resort outside Saint Petersburg held the largest snowboarding contest in Eastern Europe Quiksilver New Star.

I slept in the living room that day because it was too cold in my bedroom.

This is my three-month old spitz Fuller. He is a son of my second spitz Vasya who now lives at my parents’.

The other day, I learnt I had some kidney issues so now I have to take pills.

It takes me quite a while to get ready.

I watched TV and had an open sandwich, herbal tea and some almond cake for breakfast.

When your dog asks you for food with that begging look, you just give himĀ  something he doesn’t eat and he goes away. Fuller doesn’t. He ate the cucumber and asked me for more.

I wish I had straight hair…

That’s what helps me make it straight.

I had to pack my stuff… Will I ever get a skiing outfit for myself?

I also had to fix my nails. What you see in the photo is just half of what I have!

That’s my fourth passion after cooking, hairsprays and online shopping.

Fuller was happy and active that morning…

And then it was makeup.

Done.

This lady can eat tons of stuffed cabbage rolls for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And I hate them!

I want to have my hair cut. Like this. What do you think?

Leaving my apartment…

I dropped into a local McDonalds to meet with my colleagues and have some mineral water. I remember that time when I could drink McDonalds coffee as much as I wanted…

This is Sasha. He is a photographer.

Here it is. We had to go down, all the way up to that white tent.

The schedule for the day.

I met my old friend Elya. We haven’t seen each other for almost three years. We hugged and talked and gossiped and did what girls usually do when they meet.

I was interested in snowmobile freestyle and organizational matters (we were to hold a similar event in summer). It was 3.30 p.m.

This is Caleb Moore from the USA. He’s one of the most fearless freestyle riders in the world!

Enjoy the show.

Meanwhile, spectators kept coming.

The food they served was tasteless as usual. Good for me. After lunch, I had to go interview the riders.

I asked him questions and then we just talked.

They call this man Heartbreaker in America. I wondered why?

My favorite rider got something broken…

Back in the tent.

I needed to warm up.

It was crowded in the tent and everybody was drinking something.

It was time for the KAMAZ show.

Have you even seen a jumping KAMAZ?

Landing!

Snowboarding. I didn’t really follow it.

I returned to the tent to warm up again. The rum didn’t help.

I love tableware and I couldn’t resist taking that Jameson glass home.

By the restroom.

Someone’s having a good time!

The freestyle show went on.

The security guards didn’t let photographers come closer. It was a precaution measure.

What a crowd!

I saw Caleb going away and asked him if he didn’t mind being photographed. He didn’t!

He left and we went for a walk.

We immediately knew what we had to do with all that snow…

Diving into the snow.

It was fun!

It was so cold! I needed to warm up my hands!

They ended up the day with a performance of an American band Trouble Andrew. I hadn’t heard about it before but I liked it.

Those are the musicians.

Sasha was gone and we had to get home by bus (it was for PR-managers and journalists). It was about 10 p.m. and I was tired…

The bus stopped by a club where they held an after party. I didn’t want to go but the girls did.

I had some mineral water and the girls had cola.

We headed home and caught a taxi on Nevsky Avenue.

Fuller missed me and was happy when I returned!

I texted my boyfriend, drank more water (in hope my kidneys would forgive me those drinks that I had).

p.s: it was a snowboarder from Russia who won. I was surprised.

Location: Saint Petersburg
