Hello from Saint Petersburg! My name is Elena, I live with my daughter and make a living by writing. I believe when you’re 40, it’s just the beginning of you life.
So, I want to show you how I spent Monday, February, 20th. It was a regular day but I still have something to show you.

My cellphone is very old. It’s my first cellphone actually. It works well, it has Internet access and it also wakes me up in the morning.

I headed to the kitchen to check out weather. It changes a million times during the day!
My daughter likes shooting so we have a shooting gallery in our apartment.

The weather was Ok. There was no rain and it was not very cold.

I omitted the bathroom part…
My oatmeal.

My work includes writing news about furniture for one website. So I checked what was new in the world of interior.

I was to take classes in Italian in the evening so I had to do my home assignment.

My favorite tea.

My kid was full and happy.

I had to hurry up but before that I had to put on makeup.

Not mine!

Heading to the subway. It takes me a few minutes.

I also had to go to one bank because someone stole my money from my banking card. I’d handed in an application and wanted to find out what was going on.

They said I had to wait for 4 months before they considered my application…

I love this picture but it seems to me most people living in Saint Petersburg just don’t notice it.

These are some views for you to enjoy.

“Beer House & Restaurant Metropol”.

“Cheburek”.

An underpass on Nevsky Avenue.

The Comedy Theater.

An emperor and empresses.

That red building is not real. It’s a curtain to cover the construction site.

Not long ago I came to the conclusion that I had to spend more time doing what I like to do. And I like gastronomy.
So I headed to a wine restaurant.

At the restaurant, we discussed modern Russian cuisine trends and tasted different dishes. This one is made of buckwheat, blackcurrant, buckwheat ice cream, honey sauce and buckwheat popcorn.

We also tasted some blackcurrant tea treated with liquid nitrogen to intensify its taste.

I took this photo as I left the restaurant.

I had to go to my office because I had a lot of work to do plus it was my payday.

I found the money in the drawer. Yes, it’s not a Gazprom.

“Hey, woman! Stop hanging out at this factory! Being a prostitute is more pleasant plus it’s well-paid”.

It was 5.30 and I headed to my courses in Italian. They are held in a nearby business center.

I got an A for my dictation. Good!

This is our professoressa. She’s very nice.
I forgot to photograph the grocery store I went to but this is what I got there.

Then I worked for a while and closer to the night I got hungry.

My kid texted “On my way”. She was at her friend’s birthday party.

I went to bed.
Dear Readers! I want to make it clear about my work. I do work but I try to do what I like to do. That day I worked 1 hour in the morning, 3 hours in the office and 4 hours at home in the evening. So, it was a regular working day. As for how much I make, it depends. In December I made almost $3,000 but usually I make less than that.
That furniture website I mentioned pays me less than $200 but I like it plus it takes me not very much time. So, you see, I do what I enjoy doing. And I wish you the same.
