Hello! I’m Masha Makarova, 25. I live in Siedlce, a small Polish town in 80 km distance eastwards from Warsaw. I study, teach, learn languages and write one Ph. D. thesis and two Master’s thesis.
Today I’d like to show you the 15th of March, 2012. Welcome!
I get up early, at 6 am. It’s not difficult for me.
I live in a one-room flat together with Jack Russel Terrier Rexya. Every evening she goes to sleep at her place but in the morning I always see her in my bed:) As you see, she doesn’t like to get up early.
This is my friend Kasia. She lives in Warsaw but this night she spent at my place. She came to Siedlce to have her classes on Polish philology.
It’s me in my bathroom dreaming of hot shower.
Then I make breakfast and coffee. I drink it only in the morning. Kasia is still sleeping.

Rexya comes.
And this is Shmulik, the cat living with me since November. I have to feed him here because Rexya thinks his food is much better then hers.
Kasia got up, took a shower and come to have breakfast. We’re short of time at 7.03 her train to Warsaw lives.
It’s me, eating my corn flakes with milk.
Everything was calm until my pets run from the kitchen, tangle in the table cloth and pour out our coffee. In the photo Kasia is trying to sponge the coffee poured out.
Rexya pretends she wasn’t there.
We’re leaving.
On the way. I got my drivers licence in Poland 4 years ago. And since then I always drive a car.
We’re at the station in time. Kasia says “Goodbye” and goes to the platform.
And I return home. While waiting for green traffic light, I make a photo of one of the University buildings.
And this is Narodowy Bank Polski (National Bank Of Poland).
This is my house.
On my coming home I take Rexya for a walk.
We’re walking.
My well.
We’re home. I have half an hour before my Yiddish lesson (one of the languages I study). It’s enough to sweep the floor.
I try to make my bed and Shmulik helps me.
My flat is clean and ready to meet my pupil (after I learn Yiddish I’ll teach another language).
I like to study in my kitchen sitting in this chair.
I make some green tea
and write a short post in my LJ, and my teacher of Yiddish Alina (she’s from Moscow) calls.
So, my class begins.
It’s 9.10. My class is finished and at 9.45 I’ll become a teacher of Russian.
And now I have some time to remove the mess Smulik made while I was studying.
It’s me having a headache.

Shmulik is never tired making me work. I have to put the papers in order. Pani Asya will come soon. She’s my colleague and is going to have her exam in Russian.
The lesson is over and I have 15 minutes to get ready for the University.
And Rexya is sleeping.

My University. Temporary we’re teaching and studying in ex-barracks but our new campus is almost ready and next year we’ll move in. By the way, the barracks are comfortable enough.
I find my students, tell ‘em I’m here and go to take everything I need for the lesson. I teach ‘em Russian for the second term and we moved from A1 level to A2.
This is my group. Only girls. Today we study Russian sound [l]. It’s very difficult for the Poles.
The class is over.
I’m and Russian letters on the blackboard.
A few minutes later I transform from the teacher into a student and is ready to study literary theory.
While waiting for the beginning of my class I read some material.

During the class we read poems and analyze them. I make notes in my computer. I always work electronically.
A friend of mine asks for help. And I promise.
My lessons are over and I go to my car.
I’m on my way.
Some minutes later I park my car in the mess
and go to the cafe to study French.
Camille is not here yet. While waiting for her I take some pictures.
My lesson begins.
An hour later I come home. My doggy is waiting for me)
We’re glad to see each other.
Here’s my cat.
Soon I’ll have another lesson (I’ll teach).
I change my clothes.

and finishes.
It’s dinner time)))
For both of us))) And Rexya is away with my friend.
After dinner and short talk with my Mum (She lives in Russia) I am ready to begin teaching Polish to Anya from London.
Shmulik is helping)
The lesson is over. My working day is over too.
I’m going to a fitness club.
I’m on my way. It’s 7 pm.
Here I am. I usually spend about 2 hours here.
Iit’s 10 pm. I’m the best!
