What It Is Like Being A Lawyer

Hello, my name is Elena. I’m 31. I live in the Moscow Region. I’m a lawyer by education. I deal with civil affairs.

It’s February 21st, 2012.

I woke up early to be in time for a 10 o’clock hearing. I also had to make lunch for my husband.

Then I fed my cat who started to devour my flowers.

I enjoyed a cup of tea with a candy.

My one eye was still sleeping.

Where’s my hubby? I was going to wake him up!

It took me less time than usual to decide what to put on and then I left home.

I got another cup of coffee at a gas station and my life got better.

Standing in another traffic jam, I enjoyed my coffee, listened to the music and looked at the people around.

That building is Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was built in 1953.

Plyushchikha Street.

I had some time before the hearing.

I spent another 30 minutes putting makeup. The idea of waking up earlier seems unreal to me.

Me.

“Khamovnichesky Court”.

My “lawyer’s certificate”.

This building needs renovation.

“Hall 4″.

Lawyers spend a lot of time waiting.

It was not the first time I saw that judge. Once we had to wait for him for three hours! When he showed up, he just postponed the hearing. That day I was lucky and he came in just one hour.

Those bodies in front of me are my opponents.

No way! The hearing was postponed too.

Novodevichy Convent.

I forgot to close the window for the night and my flower died!

I drank his cup of coffee and ate some chocolate&nuts cake for the fallen flower.

Let me show you around my office.

Those chairs are for our clients.

It was time to go home.

This road is often closed down (for VIP motorcades).

Passing Vnukovo Airport by.

“Krekshino”.

Almost home.

I didn’t waste a minute passing this railway crossing. What a great day it was!

My cat missed me and checked if I had a company.

I didn’t so he let me come in.

I was hungry so I opened my fridge. It’s an oistrich egg. One egg is enough to feed 8 people!

My husband made these meat dumplings by himself!

Our neighbors are building a house.

After lunch, I got down to answering questions on my website. It’s good for my memory (I revise legal stuff) and sometimes this is how I find new clients.

After that, I started cooking dinner for my husband.

I was interrupted by a call from my client. I had to bring him his statement of claim.

On my way.

My husband was hungry when I came home because I didn’t finish cooking that dinner.

40 minutes later.

Then we watched Poos in Boots and fed our fish.

The cat didn’t want to take his medicine.

Then I took a shower.

I love my chandelier in the bedroom.

I also love my hyacinth. I adopted it from a supermarket, got a pot for it and I guess it’s happy now!

Buy! Thanks for coming over!
