One Day Of Two Designers

Hello, everyone! I am Nikita, an interior designer. I live, work, enjoy life in St. Petersburg and with a loving wife. She is a designer too, but of clothes. It was a day off so you won’t see much of my work. Well, April 14th. The day devoted to home, friends and work a bit.

In weekends I get up without an alarm clock. I’m an early riser. That morning i got up at 8.15

From food I only had flour and honey. I chose the second.

All family had breakfast watching “the Friends”, the cat likes it too.

Leaving the flat, have to drop in the construction site and give drawings to builders in order they do not idle.

We don’t have an elevator so we often have to carry heavy stuff on the fifth floor.

I’ve seen this stupid picture for 5 years already – the ladder to nowhere and from nowhere. Maybe it has some philosophical meaning?

Saturday traffic jam

While I am standing in the traffic jam I notice another interesting building in the modernistic style. I don’t like all these style classifications, but this one is nice. It’s kind of honest and doesn’t look as if someone harfed on the facade with moulding…

I give drawings to the builders and take some photos of the facade for general director. The building is dated 1910, it used to be an office of a former paintwork materials plant. Now we are reconstructing it for our own office. Hope we’ll move in by the end of this summer.

The manager is finally here and I am treated to tasty coffee. We look through tonnes of catalogues and with a huge bag of advertising samples i am let go.

Hurry home to take my wife

We move to a studio of Olya. Rita, our friend, has come to help her in making a dress and brought a jacket made by Olya a month ago, in order I would photograph it for her portfolio.
