One Dutch Saturday

Hello, everyone! I finally decided to write about one day of mine. So that day I was keeping to hold my camera all day long. I was in the Netherlands, Groningen.

I am Yu, 23. My boyfriend is 27. This was October, 13th, 2012.

My feet appear from under the warm blanket.

And they find sleepy cows…

It’s a perfect time for waking up on Saturday.

The day begins from yoga.

Neighbours from the opposite side can see me if they are already awake too ))

M. is training with me.

Each time we train this lady wishes us happiness.

I wait for my turn to take a shower and check the weather forecast for today.

It’s a shower time!

Our breakfast consists of porridge and tea from favorite cups.

Then I spend some time in the internet.

I call daddy who tells me about the weather in Latvia and plans for the weekend.

I look through recipes and choose menu for today.

Then I make a list of products to buy, the main thing is not to forget this list at home which often happens.

I have tea with a hematogen…mmmm..

It’s not a mess! I can find anything with my eyes closed!

I keep dressing..

And now I am ready!

M. should hurry up.

I start turn on the washing machine which is shared with our neighbours.

This is the Dutch folklore behind the washing machine! Hah-hah..

I check the mail box but there is nothing there.

Our “horses” – mine is in the middle, M’s is on the right. I’ve been riding mine for 5 years already and nobody has stolen it yet.

The way to the market is not long.

We leave the bicycles and go to buy stuff.

I notice cool beads.

Latvian apples we bought last week are not available anymore ((

We have to buy all we need: tomorrowall shops will close.

We are back home with the buyings.

The mailbox is still empty

Fresh strawberry, apple and banana make a cool healthy juice!

It’s early for lunch.

So i start to make accessories.

I gonna sell it at Etsy.

I watch a new episode of “Vampire Diaries”, M. calls it “Vampire diarrhea”))

It’s time to cook lunch! I make glamorous dumplings and red fish in pastry… I am a great experimenter! Ho-ho… ))

M. needs my help to take the washed linen out and put it into the dryer.

While the fish is being baked I start making apple muffins.

Here they are!

The postman brings me a parcel! Hurray!

Here’s what I get…Mmmm..

Oops! 4 o’clock and we haven’t had lunch yet!

We should correct this situation.

We’re watching Apprentice during the lunch.

I am busy with the linen and M. is making tea.

Then we eat the muffins and keep watching the show.

We gonna watch a Dutch movie today in the movie theater. Our Dutch is not perfect but we liked the trailer.

I have some time before the movie…

The movie theatre is close so we don’t take the bikes.

Aren’t we cute? )

The tickets are bought. We have a season ticket, pay once a month and can see as many movies as we wish. It’s quite convenient. We don’t have a TV set but we like watching movies))

Meanwhile it started to rain so we hurried home after the movie. I found out that I still remember some Dutch. After the movie I had so many questions so I kept asking M. all the way home…)

We are home: warming and drying.

I have another tea. Yeah, I am a tea maniac)

I decided to wash my hair. What I like about Holland is their discounts: they are always fair.

In the evening I become very lazy…

This is my embroidery. Can anyone advise me some series to watch while doing this? )) “Vampire Diaries” is not suitable, because I see it with my mouth open and can’t embroider.)
