Hello! This is Mikhail. It was my August, 13th, 2012. And it was one of the brightest days in my life. Literally. It was so orange!

We wake up at 05:30. We open our eyes and remember where we are. It is still dark. We are going to get to the dune and meet the sunrise there.

We have everything we need.

No really!

We meet many oryxes. It’s strange but we never see them in daytime.

Sunrise on the dune is a nice idea!

It’s easier to climb bearfoot, but there is a risk to step on something that may bite.

Sunrise in Namibia is so beautiful!

Dunes are especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset. We have plenty of time before the sunset

So we can have fun.

It’s not so easy!

Well, we have a lot to do in fact so should go!

Hey! You forgot something! Or somebody! You forgot me!

This is a wart hog.

We are at the Death Valley. This place used to blossom but now…

The heat is unbearable!

You get thirsty soon.

Let’s give a last chance to this tree.

The sun drives me crazy!

We need some rest so we go to the camp.

These are the animals we meet on the way.

What a strange nest! Does it belong to a sheep?

This is the tree we sleep under.

We rest before the sunset.

And soon we are heading back to the dunes.

They are gorgeous!

This territory is forbidden to be at, so we hide our car behind the tree))

This is what happens to those cars which go too far…

This day was long.

We are going back to our tree.

I am experimenting with the cam.

We are making dinner. Hungry animals are walking around try to find something to eat…

Silence.. we only hear the fire crackling and chirping of cicadas.

It was a long bright day. Being tired we hid in the tents and fell asleep soon. We still had many interesting days ahead, and the whole life!
