Hi! It’s Natalia. We are in Casablanca. This is our January, 2013.

Casablanca has a romantic name, and it’s quite misleading. It’s big and industrial in fact, it has a lot of garbage, homeless people and animals. I won’t show you ugly places, though it can be seen everywhere. Casablanca’s beauty is in its snow white houses and high trees.

This is where we wake up.

The slogan of the hotel is in French.

Luxe, yeah, au prix economique. In fact it’s just a cheap kitsch. Just look at this soap and other stuff.

By the way, one brush has already been opened by someone – it’s in paste. But there is a bidet. Which is associated with splendour here, as it seems. The key is so huge to impress guests.

My man has luckily a rucksack.

In fact the hotel has its good sides too. For example, one can bring two children for free. There are an additional bed and a children’s sink.

They heat houses in Morocco with such heaters and conditioners. The room is warm but the tiled floor and the bathroom are very cold.

Winters are not so warm here. 24C is maximum in daytime. At night it’s closer to 0C. I try the new argan oil bought at the market of Marrakech. ‘Very good for your face. One hundred dihrams, ONLY for you’. Yes, they know they should make a stress on their exclusiveness!

I use only pencil for eyebrows. I forgot my tweezer at home so should draw brows now. It makes me sad. Once I shaved a part of my brow for an experiment so now I have to be especially hard at drawing it… ((

Traditionally pancakes for breakfast.

Pancakes are what they eat every day. Additionally – tangerines and snail soup. Hubby takes a boiled egg and thinks if he should eat it or not.

This is what they use to cook food.

After breakfast I call myself in Skype. I am not insane, it’s because my mom uses my account.

It’s my baby staying with my mom, what cable does she have in her mouth???

They are not happy we pay with a card. They do not like cards in hotels. Wow, someone from Saint Petersburg, Russia, left a note yesterday! Hey, guys! Was everything OK with your tooth brush?

We do not like the coffee in the hotel so we go for the tasty one to the cafe. Then we have a final walk along Casablanca.

Soon we get hungry and come to Mc’Donalds.

There are a lot of foreigners here. They are used to this food, prices and free Wi-Fi.

It started raining so we go further by railway.

Such gowns are worn by most local women. Fashionistas prefer casual style – plush gowns with Disney characters (In Russia people wear such gowns in hospitals). Man’s gowns look better – plain, woolen, striped or monochromatic.

Their footwear need a separate post!

Snack for the family.

We check-in at the airport and drink final Moroccan tea (very sweet, with mint and wormwood).

In a dute free called ‘dufry’ here we buy a Kitty toy and whiskey for mother. It will help her to rest from kids and cats…)) We are flying to Istanbul and to St. Petersburg from there. 4,5 hours in a huge plane are ahead.

We are already in the hotel waiting to be given a room.

This one is more comfortable. And there is a bath in the bathroom! Toilet turns into a bidet. There is a big window between the bathroom and the room.

In some hours we gonna have a nice breakfast that will be followed by another flight. We will be back in St. Petersburg soon! I will see my daughter at last! I gonna kiss her and hug her, celebrate her 11 months birthday, but it will be another day…

My name is Sania (the last syllable is stressed), I live in Moscow. I’ve got a boyfriend, a baby and my work there. I gonna show my Saturday, February, 2nd.

I heard my baby wake up and opened my eyes at 9 a.m. But we get up only at …

I put Vera on the sofa and prepare a baby sling.

I brush teeth and wash my face. I do not wear pyjamas on purpose – one has to be either beautifully dressed at home or being nude – a nude person is at least interesting to look at. It’s better than any worn and stretched thing.

We wanted to sleep badly yesterday so left a mess in the kitchen. I clean up and eat dates in the process.

I try to decide what to cook for Peter, my boyfriend for breakfast. Vera controls the process from the sling.

Then I go to Peter to see what he is doing. He is doing morning exercises and asks me not to show you a photo of him in his pants)

This is his sports equipment. I gave up training being on the second month of my pregnancy due to poor health. Now I want to continue but still don’t know how.

I make our bed.

At 12 we finally start eating.

Peter is eating very fat cutlets!

I eat cottage cheese with cherry jam. We discuss the matter of rights of homosexual people. Peter thinks that sleeping with people of the same gender is abnormal, I do not think so. He thinks that their “marriages” should be called in some different way.

Then I wash and feed Vera.

This is the woom where Peter usually works. He writes a code for a super secret scientific project, and it’s wonderful.

Then I tried to pull up on the bar with a baby, but she didn’t like it. So only Peter was training on.

Then Peter left for a meeting with his group mates. I sat at the laptop. I am greedier than Peter and I write programs for money even being on my maternity leave. Soon I get hungry again.

Vera is up and feels sad so we come to the bathroom to listen to water flowing out from the tap. Babies like such noise.

I continue work at my table.

Anoter break for lunch. This time I eat cottage cheese with vanilla sugar and milk.

Probably I should cook and do the flat now.

When Vera was born we started eating various food which is instantly cooked. I like to cook but it’s hard to make something complicated while you wear a baby sling.

I read poem to daughter and wash up.

While chicken with honey is being stewed, I make a dry mixture for Peter. Just the way he likes.

And I make tea for myself. This cup was brought by brother from Turkey. It’s cool. We both studied Turkish but I know it worse than brother. He speaks it fluently and he had a nice time in Turkey!

We have linen to wash.

It’s almost 8 p.m. and Peter is still away. We turn on the music with Vera and start dancing.

While dancing we found the sock we had lost in the morning. I found out we ran out of diapers! I waited for Peter to save us.

Peter came home! We agreed he would eat and let me go to the store for diapers then.

I give Vera to father and go to the store. And I forget to take the cam.

The time when I come back.

Vera wants to listen to water noise again. Meanwhile I make faces in front of the mirror.

Vera falls asleep and I can work now. Today I do not work much, usually it takes 4-6 hours. I rest one day a week. My boss is a very patient man and he knows my situation, doesn’t make me react fast to his mails. Denis, hello!

I am drinking some fermented baked milk I have bought today.

Then I come to the kitchen.

Peter says he wants some hugs, so we lie together a bit and then I go to Vera for sleep.

I remember a school class in English: “let me introduce myself”. So, yes, let me introduce myself: Marina. I am somewhere in between 26 and 28 years old. Really, I always confuse how old I am. I live in an industrial city of Ukraine. And I am a housekeeper. If I can call myself so. Welcome to my 23.01.2013.

I show you time when everyone is already awake. Cause my cam works too loudly.

Sleepy faces of my family.

Washing, brushing hair and teeth.. Everything as usual. And then they are ready to go to the kindergarten.

I am left alone and I can finally show myself.

Such a picture I see outside is perfect for a black frame like this.

The kettle is heating up.

Now I should beautify myself.

Breakfast follows washing. I have two heated pancakes, a cup of coffee with milk and two sweets.

We agreed with my friend to visit the exhibition of an artist Nikas Safronov today so I start dressing. In the process I notice these too nude guys. I probably should dress them.

Choice of clothes is always complicated.

Do I look intelligent enough for the cultural exhibition?

I come to Tanya and photograph time.

Tanya cannot let me leave without treating me to a cup of coffee. She has a cool coffee machine so I cannot refuse.

We are not allowed to take photos at the exhibition. It’s expensive. But I can say I was not impressed. So we only take a picture nearby, under the sign “Nikas Safronov”.

We visited a shopping centre where we didn’t take pictures either being rather shy ) Such an angel I am! Then we went to a cafe.

The cafe is new and the food there is rather tasty.

The bill was brought in such a box. I’d love to have such a box too. Hey, relatives, this information is for you! )

Me And Tanya are at my place. Husband is away so we can talk about life )

While my friend is enjoying the view from my window (I live on the ninth floor and my house stands separately from others while everything is different with Tanya’s house), I am copying the recipe from Tanya’s notebook.

Tanya has to go for her child to the kindergarten. And I need to cook for the family.

They are home but not hungry. Ksenia is eating the chocolate we have bought today.

Husband has his own work to do.

Meanwhile it’s already…

I have work in the kitchen..

Still nobody wants to eat with me. Usually we all eat when we get hungry, and our wishes coincide rarely. I am not really upset about this.

I am washing up. Dirty dishes are punishment for food.

I come back to my family. What a harmony!

They let me lie on the sofa.

Dima reminds me that he is going to a business trip today and I need to pack his things. That’s what I start to do.

Then we are enjoying the hair of Ksenia which is done by her governess.

They start playing before daddy’s departure.

It’s time to say goodbye.

Dima and Ksenia have a special spiritual connection. Sometimes it seems to me they are closer to each other than me and her.

Hello! I am Anna, 29. Me and my husband live in the Kingdom of Tonga. I want to show you one day on the island. Tonga is the first world country that sees the sun in the morning, it is located in the Pacific Ocean, next to Fiji and consists of 172 islands.

This day was December, 29th, 2012.

Good morning! We made our beds and are ready to go.

It’s time to wake up.

Bathroom goes first.

Holiday atmospehere reigns at home. We are going to celebrate the day of our wedding soon. The bottle of wine is waiting for that day. Besides, we are moving to New Zealand in the end of the month. ))

I dress and apply makeup.

the first client will come at 9:15. I am almost late!

I kiss hubby and leave.

Orange color is my favorite.

I turn into the doctor soon.

Masha is my assistant. We have learnt to understand each other for the two years of working together. The orange uniform was our idea. The office we worked at wass also orange so..

Even if you come to work in a bad mood this orange office will cheer you up!

At 9:15 I have the first client. I try to do the most complicated work in the morning.

Pregnant girl Maya is my second client.

The things which surround me every day.

My treasures. We have five types of filling material of various shades so nobody remains unsatisfied.

We have a break till 1:30 so we can ask Masha to do some weave braids on our heads. She does it so well!

We are not too hungry but we want to drink tea with chocolate. Yes, we do eat chocolate too!

But it’s time to continue our work.

A new client comes at 2:30.

And this funny guy is the last for today.

Usually I stop working at 3, but today I am a bit late.

We have another, blue office for male doctors.

We have a young director who often sends us to refresher courses. And we don’t hide our certificates.

5:28 and I am still at work! It’s awful! I wanted to meet with the friend who are going to immigrate with us but the meeting was cancelled. My parents called and asked me to buy tickets to the movie theater for them. Can’t refuse.

Me and Masha are going to the movie theater which is not far.

Me and hubby will watch “Jack Reacher”, parents will watch “Life of Pi”.

They are still in love! Being together for twenty five years! I love them so much!

We have two hours before the movie so I start making lasagna.

We count days before departure )

Husband is back home. He is happy to know that lasagna and tickets to the movie theater are waiting for him.

Here we are.

The movie is not too cool, to be honest.

We are going back afoot.

I will be able to sleep longet tomorrow, cause I will work in the second shift.

I like to read so much! Both classics and modern books. Every week is a new book.

But my day is over. Good night!

Hello! I am Anastacia, 21. It was a day when 2012 was replaced by 2013. We had no guests, there were three of us, such a family holiday.

M. was a photographer that day. This is me, still asleep.

We are finally awake.

We are both hungry!

Hi! I am Boris, a painter from Rostov-on-Don, Russia. I want to show my December, 9th, 2012.

I get up early – usually at 4 a.m. but today I got up at 5.

Traditionally I drink coffee in the morning.

Then I sit down to paint. I work in illusory style.

It’s always better to work in the morning.

I have to go to my student soon, but I do some pullups before that.

At ten I go out.

In an hour I am at my student’s It’s the oldest street of the city. New tall buildings stand next to houses of the nineteenth century. My student lives in a new tall building.

Here he is, his name is German, he’s a clever boy.

Today we are making an origami Christmas tree.

Here is what we have in two hours of work.

I have to go.

Soon I come to the House of Youth Creativity.

Today I will be a judge at the exhibition “The world through eyes of children”.

It’s hard to choose the best work.

While were were busy at the exhibition it became dark – night Rostov is beautiful.

At home I have dinner and paint again.

And I read a bit before sleep.

My day is finally over at 10 p.m.

Hello, all! I am Olga, 27. I am a freelancer. On that day I wanted to change the color of my hair a bit. But the change turned out to be dramatic! It was 19.01.2013 in Moscow and suburbs.

I have been dying my hair since thirteen years old and do not remember my natural color. I wanted my hair color to be light chocolate and my hairdresser promised me to do what I want…

I am not ready to show myself to the world!

Yesterday I made a pie from salmon, corn and cabbage.

Soon we leave and I find myself in the subway.

But first I come to my friend to take a cam, I want to make a video about my transformation.

I want for her in the hall.

I am finally at Vartan’s, my hairdresser. We are discussingmy new hairstyle.

Victoria is his assistant, Vartan asks her to dye my hair and promises me she does it well despite her young age. He says all the process will be under his control.

Vartan dyes hair with argan oil which helps not to harm it. Come as it may! Hair is not teeth!

First she does deep purification of the hair.

Vartan comments on the process while Victoria keeps silent. I am confused when they tell she is a schoolgirl! But she does not quite good, I feel safe.

I am an alien from space!

As I have spots like a leopard we repeat the procedure.

Husband offers me to leave it like this. ))

Vartan, in his turn, wants to offer more than I planned. He convinced me that blonde hair would be ok for me.

We decide to make a natural blonde color.

Can I sleep for awhile?

Hello, everyone! I am Dina. I live in Moscow but the day I wanna show was spent in Istanbul, Turkey. It was the last day of 2012. I was there with my friend Marina.

I open my eyes..

Local time is 9 a.m.

We came late at night so we see the mess in the morning.

However we filled the bar when we came )

It’s time to have breakfast…

It’s where we are going to eat – in the garden!

This is Marina’s breakfast. I didn’t risk to show mine, a good girl should not eat so much sweets, jam and rolls))

There are so many cats in this city!

But nobody tries to hurt them.

After breakfast we drink tea outside.

They were preparing for New Year, too.

It’s time to dress and go for a walk.

I take my cats travellers with me.

Our friend from Istanbul desided to join us. He promised to take us to the place where we can buy “cool stuff cheaply and of high quality. The way was promised to take 50 minutes”. It turned out to be much further! The first means of transport we used was a tram.

Turnstiles do not allow to enter.

The tram was followed by a ferry.

We are waiting for a ferry.

The ferry is finally mooring.

Oh yeah, the next step for cheap things of high quality is subway…

Meanwhile, it is already…

That guy does not like me taking photos in the subway.

The flooring is cool, too.

We spent twenty minutes in the subway and then went afoot.

We are already tired but still dream about good shopping.

It was the exact copy of the Moscow “Mega” shopping centre! We were disappointed so much!

7 o’clock (local time).

We look around sadly and come to the cafeterium where we drink carrot juice…

We are going home in the same route and buy chestnuts again. They are so delicious!

It’s almost ten! While in Moscow it’s almost 12! We want to celebrate New Year! It makes us nervous.

Taxi becomes the fourth means of transportation today.

Home, sweet home!

Hurray! We managed to come on time!

Champagne in glasses and flowers given by our friend.

And the food brought from Moscow especially for New Year’s celebration.

We were too tired to search for more anventures that day.

Hi, guys! I am Anastacia, 25, from Moscow. I love my hubby and to photograph happy people! It was my 31st of December, 2012. I was in Samara, Russia where we were spending our vacations and meeting friends and relatives.

This day will be long. It’s my plan. In the morning parents ask me to join them while running. I agree.

We come to the embankment, mom and dad run away at once )

I didn’t plan to run so I take a walk along the embankment.

In 20 minutes they are back and offer to walk a bit more.

I have to hurry up!)

I notice another sporty family.

My parents have been running in the morning for about 8-9 years – both on weekdays and in weekends. Running is followed by swimming. In summer and in winter! I am pround of them. It’s too hard for me!

I feel cold only looking at her while she is smiling!

Daddy goes next.

We can go back to our car.

We were walking and running at the embankment for one hour.

I buy some shrimps for salad.

Pushok is treated to meat in the morning.

Oops, we have a milk problem.

At parent’s place I always feel like a little kid. Now I am sitting and enjoying very tasty cacao.

Mmmm.. my breakfast.

We have breakfast and I start cleaning the kitchen. Then mom stays to cook, me and dad decide to go to granny, congratulate her with New Year’s holidays.

Granny offers to eat but we are full so agree only to have tea.

dad takes me back home and goes to his brother to finish a present for mom. I surf the Internet for some time and then call my friend Jane. She is in Vladivostok. It’s already night there. What a huge country we live in!

Mother’s brothers have come. It means we will exchange presents soon.
